Hi, I am KATE

so glad you're here!

Artistic sequence of photographer at work by bright window in urban setting.

Whether you’re welcoming a new baby, celebrating your growing family, or simply wanting to hold onto this special season of life — this session is all about capturing you. The real, unpolished, joy-filled you. The way your child’s hand curls around yours, the way your partner looks at you when you’re not watching, the laughter that fills the room, and the quiet in-between moments you never want to lose.

Time moves so quickly, and these days don’t come back. That’s why it matters to freeze a few of them — so that years from now, future generations of your family can see and feel the love, values, and happiness you share today.

I keep things natural and completely stress-free — especially with little ones. No forced smiles or stiff poses here. Just you, being yourselves. I’ll gently guide you so it feels easy and comfortable, all while catching those genuine laughs, snuggles, and perfectly imperfect moments that make your family yours.

This is more than a photoshoot — it’s a pause button. A chance to slow down and simply enjoy time with the people you love most, while I turn this chapter of your life into something you can keep forever.

How to Prepare

A little preparation goes a long way in making your session smooth and enjoyable! These simple steps will help ensure beautiful, authentic photos that truly represent this moment in your life.

Emotional embraces captured in warm evening light.

Step 1

Create Your Vision

Browse Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration that feels authentic to you. Whether you want intimate and cozy, bright and joyful, or classic and timeless — share your vision so we can create something perfectly aligned with your personality and this season of life.

Step 2

Choose the Perfect Location

Pick somewhere that feels meaningful or comfortable to you. This could be your home, a favorite local spot, or a beautiful outdoor location. For sessions with children, closer to home is often better. I'm always happy to suggest locations that work well for your specific session type.

Step 3

Plan Your Outfits

Choose outfits that make you feel confident and authentically yourself. Comfort is key for any session, and the right clothes help you feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera.

STEP 4

Personal Prep

Schedule any beauty treatments a week before your session, and get good rest the night before. Most importantly, approach this with excitement! This is about celebrating you/your family and this moment in your life. Trust the process and remember that the most beautiful photos happen when you feel relaxed and genuine.

Step 5

Day of Session

Bring your outfit changes, any meaningful props that tell your story, water and touch-up items, and comfortable shoes for moving between locations. Remember, this should be enjoyable! I'll work at a pace that feels right for you — no rushing, just capturing the authentic moments that make your story special.

KIND WORDS
Playful couple in wedding attire dancing and twirling on an urban rooftop.

I’ve done a few photo sessions with Kate, including my wedding reception, and honestly, she’s amazing. The best part? Kate totally knows how to make you feel comfortable—because getting my husband to chill during his first photoshoot was basically mission impossible! But she made it so easy and fun. I love every single photo and seriously can’t wait to do it all over again!

Kate is incredibly talented, very client-oriented, always willing to listen and bring the most wonderful ideas into fascinating pictures. What I really like about Kate’s photoshoots (I love her work so much, I had 4 of them!) is that she takes time and effort to make you comfortable in front of the camera. She will talk to you, turn on your favorite music, and in no time you’ll feel relaxed and ready to nail this photoshoot! Kate is not just taking pictures, she is creating a magical experience you’d definitely enjoy.

Let's document your story

I believe the best photos come when we slow down and really feel the moment.

Tell me your story, what matters most, and let’s create something that feels true to you — whether it’s a wedding, a new season, or just everyday love with the people you care about.

FAQ

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Absolutely yes—and I’ll be thrilled to do that! Whether it’s a mountaintop ceremony, a beach elopement, or a hidden gem somewhere far away, I’m always up for the adventure. Just reach out, and we’ll discuss all the details to make it happen.

Do you help with planning the session?

Of course! I love being part of the planning process. I always recommend booking a quick phone call so we can talk through your vision, ideas, and preferences. After we schedule your session, you’ll also receive a simple online guide I created—with tips and advice based on my experience—to help you feel fully prepared. The whole goal is to make the process smooth and the experience truly unforgettable.

What is your cancellation policy?

I deeply respect my clients’ time and plans—and I believe respect should go both ways :) Life happens, I totally get that. If something comes up, I just ask for at least 3 days' notice so I can move your deposit to a new date. If the cancellation happens on the same day, I won’t be able to refund or transfer the deposit. Thank you for understanding and valuing each other’s time!

What if it rains?

Honestly—I don’t mind at all (and I hope you won’t either)! If you’ve ever watched The Notebook, you’ll know that some of the most magical, emotional photos can happen in the rain. But of course, if we didn’t plan for a rainy session and it’s not your vibe, we can always reschedule. Just let’s stay flexible and choose what feels right for you.

How soon will we get the photos?

My average turnaround time is about 4–5 weeks for family and engagement sessions, and 2–3 months for weddings. I take time with each gallery to make sure it feels just right—like a visual story made just for you. And I promise: the wait will be 10000% worth it. Honestly, it’s even more exciting to go through your images when the memories already feel a little dreamy and distant. That’s when the real magic happens.

Do you offer videos too?

Oh yes! Every session I do includes a complimentary short video. It’s a little gift from me to you—something extra to remember your time not just in still images, but in motion. You can check out my Instagram Reels to get a general idea of the video style I create. It’s emotional, honest, and full of life—just like your story.

Will you direct and pose us during the session?

Haha! This is probably the most common question I get—and the answer is yes and no :)

I’m not into stiff posing, but I also won’t leave you standing awkwardly wondering what to do with your hands. The truth is, the most beautiful and real photos I’ve taken happened when my clients were relaxed and just being themselves—but getting to that place usually takes a little gentle guidance.

So yes, I’ll direct you in a way that feels natural and easy, and then we’ll just let the magic unfold from there.

What should we wear?

I truly believe that simplicity is the key to a beautiful photoshoot. Think soft cotton, flowy silk, earthy tones, and natural textures. Avoid logos, busy prints, or anything that might take attention away from you.

What you wear will say a lot about who you are—so choose pieces that feel like you. And please don’t stress or rush to the mall to buy something new. You probably already have the perfect outfit in your closet.

My advice? Check Pinterest for inspiration, think about your favorite go-to looks, and if you ever feel unsure—just message me. I’m always happy to help you style your session!

Will you help us find the perfect location?

Absolutely! Once I receive your inquiry, we’ll chat and figure out the perfect spot together. I know quite a few beautiful (and actually secluded!) locations that are ideal for creating relaxed, meaningful images.

I truly believe that the most special moments happen in quiet, private settings—so while popular spots can be gorgeous, they’re not always the best if we want intimacy and calm.

If you don’t already have a specific location in mind, don’t worry—I’ll definitely help you find one that fits your vision perfectly.
